Surgery
Connor had his surgery yesterday and he did great!!! I was so proud of him, it went way better than I ever expected it to go. While he did cry when I got him out of bed, he quickly stopped once we were in the car. He was probably too busy trying to figure out what was going on and where we were going! We got to the surgical center and waited our turn. I was nervous because they had bumped up our surgery from 7 to 7:30 but it didn't seem to make a difference to Connor. He was such a good patient! He only cried when they took him away from us. The surgery itself was only 10 minutes so we didn't even have time to get too worked up or question our decision. They called us back to the recovery room where we had to wait for 30 minutes to make sure he could drink and hold it down. He had some water but then started crying when he realized it wasn't his milk! We waited a few minutes then gave him his milk. Everything stayed down and his vitals were good so we were free to leave! I stayed home with him yesterday and we just had the best day together. He was very happy and playful which made me feel much better about putting him through all this. Now we just hope it was all worth it and that he doesn't get as many ear infections.
Over the weekend we went to visit our friends Aleks and Lisa. Lisa used to water ski professionally and they live on a lake so we were excited when Lisa said she was going to ski when we got there! She used a swivel ski and made it look like so much fun! She said she was out of practice but we certainly couldn't tell. Thanks Aleks and Lisa for having us over - good times!

Sanford Zoo
This past weekend we went to the Sanford Zoo with the Moncello family. It was a nice day, not too hot with a little breeze here and there....a perfect day for the zoo! Naturally Connor hadn't napped yet so about an hour in he fell asleep in his stroller. He woke up just in time to see the leopards! He seemed to enjoy the petting zoo, particularly the goats. Connor had a great time riding around in Ava and Andrews wagon, with Ava pulling them along! The pictures are adorable. After seeing all the animals the kids changed into their bathing suits and enjoyed the water playground. We all had a great time!
Easter
We spent Easter weekend in Cape Haze visiting with Grandma and Papa. Connor also got to see his Aunt Nancy, Uncle Mark and Uncle Andrew! We had a really nice and relaxing visit. It was the first time the whole Gumula family had been together in awhile. Unfortunately Andrew has to work most holidays so it was really nice to see him. Connor had fun showing off all his latest 'tricks' (Indian, waving Bye Bye and taking steps). Thank you Grandma and Papa, I mean Easter bunny, for spoiling Connor with a basket full of goodies. We hope you all had a nice Easter! :)
