Summer Travels

We made an impromptu trip to Gainesville a couple of weekends ago to visit my grandmother Dedi. It was really good to see her and I think she was pretty happy to see us so I was glad we made the trip. While John and I went with my dad to visit De, Connor stayed with Gram over at my uncle Dominique's house visiting with him and my other grandma (Nana to Connor). We also got to see my uncles Steve and Rick so overall it was a nice visit back home. We didn't take a whole lot of pictures over the weekend but I do have a couple which I've posted below. We are getting excited about our trip to Anna Maria Island next weekend. Connor is excited about staying with Papa and Grandma and also getting to see his Aunt Nancy and two of his great grandparents! I wonder if he'll even notice we're gone? :)

Here is Connor playing with my brother's old doggie toy. He had so much fun 'walking' the dog around the house! :)

A Day at the Lake!

Today we helped Mandee celebrate her birthday out on the lake. The shindig started around lunchtime with hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Then we all headed out to the lake for some fun in the sun. We floated in the lake for a bit before getting on the boats....that's right, boats! Mandee's mom has both a pontoon and a deck boat so we were all able to be out on the lake at once. Connor and Emma even had enough room to sit in a kiddie pool on board - so cute! We also got to ride jet skis, another 1st for Connor. He didn't seem scared at all and even took the reigns at one point :) Don't worry, he was wearing a life vest. The day finally came to an end when the storm clouds rolled in. It was a good excuse to head in for some cake! We all had a great time, Happy Birthday Mandee!!!
In addition to the pictures from today, I also included a few from his buddy Ethan's 1st Birthday party and some others I have taken over the last couple of weeks. My favorites are of Connor watching his Daddy mow the yard. It entertained him for at least 20 minutes, he just kept jabbering away like he was talking to him :) Have a great week!
